Practical Attachment:
The Mind, Body, and Relationships
Attachment isn't a personality trait or a quiz result you're stuck with — it's a style of relating, and relating always requires more than one person. Shifting toward security is simpler than we think.
What You'll Experience
This isn't a lecture with a handout. It's an interactive, felt experience guided by two licensed therapists — designed so you leave with real tools, not just insights.
A Ritual Welcome
Arrive into a smudging ceremony and rose water hand rinse at the door. Tea in hand, candles lit, the room already holding you before a word is spoken.
The Discovery
An interactive attachment-style assessment — live in the room, not on your phone. Not "what am I," but how does this style actually show up in my relationships?
The Practical Side
How attachment manifests in your work, your family, your friendships, and your romantic life — through two lenses, from two therapists who see different sides of the same map.
The Shift
The hopeful core of the night: emotional regulation, the division of responsibility, and naming your attachment hangups honestly. It's simpler than we've been told.
The Somatic Anchor
Learn what your body actually feels like at rest and at calm — a felt reference point you can return to whenever stress takes over.
The Closing Ceremony
A guided breathwork session flowing into a candlelit tea meditation. The emotional peak of the night — where the work settles into the body, not just the mind.
Two Therapists. Two Lenses. One Map.
Sakena Whilby
LPC, LMHC · Founder, Exhale Therapy Center
she / her
Sakena spent nearly fifteen years in corporate recruiting and HR — including rooms at Google and Siemens — before becoming a therapist. What she saw, over and over, was brilliant, driven people who could manage a team, a budget, or a crisis, and still feel like their closest relationships kept slipping through their fingers. Not because they were broken — but because old attachment patterns were quietly running the show underneath all that competence.

Bryce Connor
MS, LPC · Licensed Professional Counselor
they / them
Bryce is a Licensed Professional Counselor who likes therapy — and rooms — that feel warm and a little irreverent. As a neurodivergent, queer, mixed person, they know what it costs to perform a version of yourself that isn't quite true, and how freeing it is to stop. Their work centers on helping people feel more like themselves in the relationships that matter most.

Who This Is For
People ready to do real work on the relationship they have with themselves and the ones they have with everyone else. If you're in your late 20s or 30s and you're externally thriving but quietly tangled in the same relational patterns — this room is for you.
This space is intentionally welcoming to women, queer and non-binary individuals, and people of color. You belong here exactly as you are.
Continue the Work
This evening is designed to open something up. If it does, there are two clear paths to keep going — with the same therapists, the same framework, and the same care.
Attendees will receive an exclusive invitation to the founding cohort, with early pricing and a direct line to both Sakena and Bryce.
